RUBY is a 20-year-old alternative-pop singer/songwriter and student on our Songwriting programme. Fusing indie, pop, and elements of jazz, mixed with fiery vocals, RUBY's sound is one you have to hear for yourself. For fans of King Princess, Orla Gartland, and Phoebe Bridgers.

Montana Joe (Tarrin Marshall-Cross) is a first year student on our Music Production programme. 'No 1 2 Share With' is a single from Montana Joe's upcoming 2022 album, 'What?'. Check out Montana Joe on Instagram.
Track Four - 'Windowmaker' by Manic Mannequin
Manic Mannequin are a progressive metal trio initially formed in Cambridge in 2017. Band member Greg Kovacs is a student on our MA Music programme. Manic Mannequin takes inspiration from bands such as Soundgarden, Tool, Alice in Chains.
Track Five - 'Cross Me' by Point A
Point A (Amara Latchford) is a first-year Actor Musician at Leeds Conservatoire. A dynamic songwriter, Point A draws influence from styles such as rap, pop, grunge. Find out more about Point A on social media.
Track Six - 'Anon. (Goldfish in my bathtub)' by Eleanor Joy
Eleanor Joy (third year songwriting student) uses immersive music, ethereal melodic lines and emotive lyrics in a musical exploration of her humanity. Eleanor uses music to explore topics that are 'taboo' within a typical conversation, such as questioning faith, prolonged grief, or menstruation (as seen in Anon.) She crafts worlds for these topics to be easily heard and understood.
Track Seven - 'The Air Around Him Sparkles (Electron)' by Emma Clarke
Emma Clarke is a music composition student on our MA Music programme. Emma recently won the Gold Award for Composition at the World Classical Music Awards for her piece, 'The Algorithm.'
Track Eight - 'The Tobacconist' by Restless Youth
Restless Youth create a vibrant, bustling sound that tells stories of the people and places they experience; in a distinctive fusion of styles. The band members are students on our Music Production programme.
They draw on jazz, pop and folk traditions to create infectious grooves and melodies. Lyrically, Restless Youth blend spoken word and sung vocals to convey evocative, relatable storytelling.
Track Nine - 'Code Red' by Imogen Harper
Imogen Harper is a Pop singer-songwriter who recently celebrated the release of her debut single 'Code Red'. Harper successfully blends Americana and Folk influences into her modern hook-based style of songwriting and writes narrative heavy songs reflective of the experience of young people in the modern world. Backed by her dynamic four-piece band, who met whilst studying at Leeds Conservatoire, Harper's live set includes her own anthemic singles, interpretative reworks of pop classics and slow emotional ballads.
A string of radio plays on BBC Introducing and popular country station Chris Country amongst others, have seen Code Red well received. With plans for an EP release soon, Imogen Harper is a live act with an exciting upward trajectory.
Track Ten - 'Lose' by The Curves
The Curves are a four-piece guitar band based in Leeds. They give a high energy performance of classic rock inspired music and reckless guitars, dirty bass and punchy drums, drawing inspiration from Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes, Biffy Clyro and Royal Blood.
'Lose' draws from a punk background with a dark riff, powerful vocals and an aggressive delivery. A relatable chorus that you can bop your head along to and sing your heart out into a hairbrush.
