About the Tracks:

Track One - Silent by Little Planets 

'Silent' is an uplifting, bass-driven, 80's inspired Alt-Pop track with tongue and cheek lyricism. Band members of Little Planets study on our Pop programme. Watch their Crosswire Session or follow them on Instagram.  

Track Two - La Loba by Fini Bearman

Fini Bearman is an acclaimed UK jazz vocalist, composer and Senior Lecturer on our BA (Hons) Music (Popular) and BA (Hons) Music (Songwriting) programmes. Find out more about Fini on their tutor profile or website

Track Three - Traces by Laurent Dehors and Matthew Bourne

Dr Matthew Bourne is a Principal Lecturer on our BA (Hons) Music (Jazz) and MA Music programmes. Matthew is a passionate explorer of sound, possessed of a burning desire to make music on anything old, broken or infirm. Discover more about Matthew on their tutor profile or website

Track Four - Love Letter - SATB by Sarah Dacey

Soprano Sarah Dacey is a singer and composer, performing everything from Renaissance to the Avant-garde but specialising in contemporary repertoire, and Senior Lecturer on our BA (Hons) Music (Classical) course. 'Love Letter' is a choral piece published by OUP, recorded remotely by the Oxford Choir in 2021. Find out more about Sarah on her Staff Profile.

Track Six - Above The Earth by Nefaerious

Folk four-piece Nefaerious all studied Jazz at Leeds Conservatoire. They take inspiration from traditional storytelling, the free improvisation of Jazz and alternative Folk. 'Above the Earth' is a song about escape, focusing on themes of empowerment and relaxation.

Track Seven - Heavenly by Lauren Mikki 

Vocalist and songwriter Lauren Mikki takes inspiration from artists such as Sabrina Claudio, Eloise and Lana Del Rey. Lauren is in her second year of study on our Popular Music programme.

Track Eight - Window Seat by Sluke & Kyoto Sound

Luke Sanderson (Sluke) is a first-year Production with Jazz student at Leeds Conservatoire. Luke is a producer who releases jazz and hip hop inspired beats. Keep up with Sluke on Instagram.
