My LEEDS Summer: Community Grant Call Out | LEEDS 2023
Key Details:
- What: Apply for a small grant to be a part of your ward's celebration event taking place this summer as part of My LEEDS 2023.
- Who: Individuals (18+), voluntary groups or organisations who live in, work in, or have a relationship with the ward in which the event is taking place. Anyone who has something creative or cultural to share with their ward, whether it is something you do as a hobby or professionally. Examples include art, music, performance, sport, football, cookery, faith.
- When: June – August.
Music Festival: Commission Call-Out - Untold, Unheard and Hidden Stories
Key Details:
- Seeking interest from engaged, professional musicians with a demonstrable and credible connection to the city of Leeds.
- Accepting proposals for 50-minute (without an interval) or 90-minute (with an interval) concerts, inspired by the theme of 'Untold, Unheard and Hidden Stories'.
- Written proposals should be a maximum of 1000 words, must include a description of how the performance links to the Festival themes, a programme outline, performer biographies/website links, associated fees, and detail of the connection to Leeds.
- This opportunity is paid. Fees are based on project requirements - please include a breakdown in your proposal.

Take Part with Leeds Playhouse & National Youth Theatre
- What: This is a chance to develop skills in acting, creating and group performance, work with professional theatre directors, and meet like-minded creatives.
- Who: Anyone based in West Yorkshire aged 17-25 years old (you must be 17 by 1 Aug) or who identify as disabled and/or neurodiverse, aged 17-30 years old.
- Commitment: Attending up to 10 acting classes, plus rehearsals and performances

This year we’re piloting a new programme to support our students from disadvantaged and under-represented backgrounds and we need graduates to help.
We’re on the look out for graduates who have some shared experiences with these students to act as coaches and give them some support.
Coaches will be paid for their time.
