School of Music Production and Events  - BA (Hons) Music (Production) with Foundation Year (Specialist Study and Specialist Group Study modules).

School of Popular Music and Voice  - BA (Hons) Songwriting Year 1 (Contextual Studies) and Year 2 (Specialist Group Study modules). MA Music - 1-2-1 tuition.

Specialisms: Computer Music Technology and Studio Recording.

Alexander Halliday (BA, PGCert PA) is a Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Music (Production) with Foundation Year, BA (Hons) Songwriting, and MA Music programs. His specialist areas are Computer Music Technology and Studio Recording.

Alex is an Apple Certified Pro Trainer and Avid Pro-tools Operator. 

Alex was a professional musician fronting the band To The Fountain, who released the The Horse Won’t Lie Down on Heron Records in 1988.

The band continued to be active until 1996 and enjoyed a healthy following particularly in the Benelux area of Europe where the album was re-released on Mascot records for the European market.

He continues to write and produce his own music as well as to produce and mix music for local artists. Alex has worked and continues to work with performing arts organisations and the public services such as Opera North, Yorkshire Dance and West Yorkshire Police.
