What has been the most important thing you've learned at LCoM?
This is just the beginning. You won't leave a "STAR" like the school teachers said. Have fun!
What are you planning on doing next after you leave LCoM?
Travel - across the States. Build a portfolio using creative arts for justice causes. I'm hoping to find a job combining creative arts, education and charity fundraising.
Is there anything you've encountered over the last few years that has really made you push yourself as a musician or anything new that you had not tried before?
Working with producers - they work fast and care less about lyrics and more about the overall sound. It flipped my perspective!
What is the best piece of advice you've been given at LCoM?
You've not written your best song yet, keep writing!
What has been the best project / opportunity you've had during your degree?
The trip to Rotterdam to collaborate with other schools in Europe. The writing camp was awesome!
What has been the biggest challenge and how has this helped you develop?
Knowing nothing about production when I arrived, I can now fully realise my ideas for a demo!
What is your favourite LCoM memory?
My Music In the Community project, I got to work with recently immigrated mothers and their families to teach English through music at a primary school in Leeds.
Also performing my released single in The Venue with my friends.
What advice would you give to others thinking of applying to your course at LCoM?
Come, and meet people. Don't be afraid to try stuff and fail. Connections are more important, with the girl that takes good pictures, the guy that graphic designs, the one with the business flair. Leave with the connections of a handful of people you can trust.
