Specialisms: Screen Directing/Production, Screen performance tuition, Writing, Editing, Animation and Storytelling

Jonathan is a teacher, director, writer, film-maker and storyteller. Following 15 years as Head of Screen Acting and Recorded Media at London's Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, he has enjoyed a freelance career in commercial film production as well as continuing his passion for screen acting in the educational sector.

Jonathan has worked on projects for Drama Centre and The International School of Screen Acting. During his career he has completed numerous short films including one feature length production, and has directed shorts for BBC Online.

During his time running a busy screen-acting department, Jonathan made it his mission to help students adapt their theatrical acting skills for a screen medium. He did this by creating innovative classes that challenged an actor to dig into themselves as well as the character on the page. He feels strongly that becoming a great screen actor requires honesty, vulnerability, spontaneity and storytelling skills.

Jonathan is currently investigating new forms of storytelling and performance using real-time animation, utilising motion capture and Virtual/Mixed Reality.
